🦈 We are Shark Spirit! Shark Spirit Team Members (SSTM) are dedicated to raising funds for LLS research. Money raised helps LLS, the largest nonprofit dedicated to creating a world without blood cancers, advance initiatives likefunding cutting-edge research and treatments. LLS has invested more than $1.7 billion in cancer, leading to breakthroughs in immunotherapy, genomics, and funding over 85% of newly FDA approved blood cancer treatments in the past decade.

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society was built on that same vision - of a better world - one without blood cancers.

This year, we’re proud to be a part of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Student Visionaries of the Year Campaign, working to raise as much as possible for LLS’s mission. We have created a team of committed friends and family to partner up on this journey. Our team is called Shark Spirit. Together, we have set a fundraising goal of $100,000 and have chosen Research as the LLS mission pillar to represent throughout our campaign. 

As a global leader in the fight against blood cancer, LLS:

• Funds cutting-edge research leading to breakthroughs in immunotherapy, genomics and personalized medicine that are improving and saving the lives of patients
• Provides free education and support for blood cancer patients and families, including personalized, one-on-one support, assistance with identifying and enrolling in clinical trials, and more.
• Mobilizes thousands of advocates to drive policy changes that accelerate the development of new cancer treatments and break down barriers to care.

Remarkedly, in response to the unprecedented devastation of the California wildfires, every dollar raised through LLS's 2025 Student Visionary of the Year campaign in the Greater Los Angeles and Southern California regions will stay in the Southern California area to provide continued support for the blood cancer community, including patients, caregivers and researchers.
